MANCHESTER, NH – Mangok Mashut, 24, of Manchester, was arrested July 5 at about 8:30 a.m. after he allegedly robbed the Hess gas station, 805 Massabesic Street.

Based on a witness description, police say Mashut, who fled the Hess station on foot, was spotted as he headed east on Hayward Street near Porter Street after the robbery.

Mashut ran when police approached him, and allegedly attempted to dispose of a knife he was carrying by throwing it on the roof of a nearby residence, but officers recovered the knife after Mashut was taken into custody.

Police said Mashut was in possession of  a pack of Pall Mall menthol cigarettes, an item reportedly stolen during the robbery.

Mashut was charged with armed robbery, resisting arrest, falsifying physical evidence, and he had an outstanding arrest warrant for violation of a protective order.
