MANCHESTER, NH – Welcome to a new recurring feature, Reset: 40 is the New Happy, a podcast series by Mike Morin, former WZID morning guy, who has been finding his own bliss beyond the airwaves, since retiring in 2014.

Morin penned a book, “50 Shades of Radio,” chronicling his 40-plus years in radio, and has teamed up with Carol Lawrence, of Red Arrow Diner, for a daily call-in radio spot on The Pulse 107.7 FM to celebrate their mutual love of all things food, called Food for Thought.

Good segue to Morin’s first podcast subject, Keri Laman, founder of Tidewater Catering Group and now owner of two mill yard eateries, Waterworks Cafe and Bayona Cafe, along with several other ventures.

Laman has found restaurant success where few others have in Manchester’s mill yard district, filled with thriving businesses and a university.

Listen in (click the audio player at the top of the page) and find out what drives her success as well as her experiences with the risks that most entrepreneurs take when they follow their dreams and become their own boss.

Morin says the goal of this podcast series is sharing the voices of others who’ve found gratification pursuing happiness in the second half of their lives. His hope is that it will encourage listeners to boldly discover what makes them truly happy.
