3 arrests, 3 heroin charges

MANCHESTER, NH – Three people were arrested by Manchester Police in three separate incidents over the weekend involving heroin possession.

Incident 1: At approximately 8 a.m. on December 19, Officer’s Coy Tanner, Darren Murphy and Lou Krawczyk were conducting a wanted check at the Econo-Lodge, 75 West Hancock Street. They responded to room #316 and upon entering observed several individuals inside the hotel room.

According to the affidavit, the room had a strong smell of burnt marijuana and upon receiving consent to search, they located a small amount of marijuana on the inside ring of the toilet bowl. Police also located a small bag of a brown substance identified as heroin (.51 grams) inside of the room in the possession of Kevin Scullark, 23, of the Bronx, NY. He was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled drug (heroin and marijuana; and falsifying evidence.

Incident 2: On December 20, approximately 3:20 a.m., multiple units responded to TN Gas, 90 Bridge St., to speak with the clerk. The clerk pointed out a male customer who resembled the person that robbed him at gunpoint on November 13, 2014. Although he was not robbed on Dec. 20 he activated the panic alarm for immediate police response.

Officers conducted a brief pat down to ensure he did not have a weapon.  Antonio Grullon, 42, of Manchester, was subsequently arrested due to the fact he was in possession of heroin (1.5 grams) and cocaine (.5 grams). Officers did not locate a weapon and the subject was not formally charged or connected to November’s armed robbery. He was charged with falsifying physical evidence and possession of a controlled drug.

Incident 3:  Officer Ryan Boyton was patrolling the area of Pine and High streets on December 20, 2014 approximately 6 p.m. when he observed a Honda sedan traveling easterly on High Street. He noted the headlights were not lit, so he attempted to stop the motor vehicle in the area of Bridge and Chestnut streets. The driver fled on foot and ran from the scene.

The operator of the vehicle was arrested and identified as: Ryan Call, 28, of Manchester. He was apprehended behind 452 Pine Street. The officer confiscated a digital scale and a white powdery substance which tested positive as heroin. Call was also deemed a habitual offender on March 2, 2010, so he was charged with possession of a controlled drug, habitual offender; and resisting arrest/detention.

All three were scheduled to appear in the 9th Circuit Court Manchester on December 22, 2014.
